Today, we will watch a brief video on where Native American tribes are today. Students will realize some of the hardships that
they still face on the reservations.
We will also discuss the lives of slaves in Mississippi during the antebellum period. (D17)
Today, we will view a video on the different slave revolts that occurred in and around Mississippi during the antebellum period.
We will also discuss other aspects of antebellum life, such as education, religion, population growth, and transportation
improvements. (D20, D21)
HOMEWORK: CROSSWORD PUZZLE FOR CHAPTER 3
THURSDAY:
Today, students will be given an assignment to create antebellum period newspapers. Students will have the entire period to work
on creating these papers.
