Ascend Cascade Canyon to South Fork group site – watch for bears, prevent blisters. Camp next to a stream high in the mountains. Keep hiking uphill, around Schoolroom Glacier, over Hurricane Pass and into Alaska Basin, camp at Basin Lakes July 16 Jenny Lake to Exum Camp above Lower Saddle July 17 Grand Teton summit day July 18 Colter Bay for laundry then to Yellowstone, rappel waterfall. Stay at Grant Village. Ascend Garnet Canyon to Lower Saddle Ascend Middle Teton via trail, descend to Lupine Meadows July 23 July 24 July 25 Layover day In Alaska Basin. Day hike possibilities include Snowdrift Lake, Table Mountain, Mt. Bannon, Icefloe Lake Alaska Basin Trail to Static Peak and then Death Canyon trail to Rockefeller Preserve. Clean up, have a nice dinner. July 19 Travel day to Teddy Roosevelt Leave early am, glass wolves in Lamar Valley, exit through NE/Cooke City Arrive with time to hike around the badlands.
