Must be able to provide own transportation. No busing will be available. Admission recommendations for full admission GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. COMPASS / ACCUPLACER or ACT scores reflect that the student is college ready. Positive recommendation from a high school counselor, principal or teacher(s). A grade of “C” or better in Algebra I and Geometry, or equivalent mathematics courses. A grade of “C” or better in Earth Science and Biology, or equivalent science courses. Reading Writing Math COMPASS/ ACCUPLACER 80 or better Place into Math 0074 ACT 18 or better Reading AND High School grades of B or better in BOTH English 9 AND English 10 AND must earn a final grade of C- or better in ENGL 1110 Pre-Algebra 61 or better OR 19 or better Mathematics AND High School grades of B or better in BOTH Algebra I AND Geometry or equivalent AND Must pass math boot camp with C or better in first 3 weeks of Junior year AND must earn a final grade of C- or better in Math 1110 Attendance records are positive or explained by counselor as being “situational” or beyond the student’s control. Provisional students must agree to actively participate and show potential in an academic enhancement program. Academic deficiencies are the responsibility of the student and must be completed prior to start of the 2nd year of the program. This would include courses such as: Health, Phys. Ed, and requirements unique to the student’s residency associate school. Financial responsibility for correction of deficiencies rest with the student or student’s parents. 1 Special Considerations Non-traditionally educated students from an accredited (home school, charter school, ECOT, etc.) program/ institution will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Transcripts for these students will be evaluated by their residency associate school to determine eligibility for College-NOW minimum entry requirements. Application Instructions 1. Go to the Pioneer website: www.go2pioneer.com a. Click “ENROLL” on the left hand side, Click “HIGH SCHOOL” (You may need to allow popups on your computer) b. Click “Fill out an application” and complete all sections. c. Read over the terms agreement at the bottom and click “I agree” in both places. d. Click “Submit application for enrollment” button. 2. Click the link that says “Please click here to open the required form” Once the “Parental Consent Form” displays on the screen, YOU MUST PRINT THE FORM, complete it, have a parent/guardian signature, and then TURN IT IN TO YOUR HIGH SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELOR. 3. Return to the Required Forms Link Click on “College NOW – Business Administration resource page” where you will find the following: a. Print and complete the College NOW - Business Administration Application and mail it to Rita Wiening at the address indicated. (Last two pages only) b. Print out the counselor form, complete the top portion, and give the form to your school counselor. 4. Submit ACT Scores with Application OR call North Central State College at 419-755-4764 to schedule your COMPASS college placement test. Most students take this test in April after receiving their Pending Status admissions letter. Please study for this exam especially the MATH portion. (You may refer to the study guide at http://www.collegenow.org/resources/compass-act-testing to help prepare for the test.) 5. Attend a College Credit Plus (CCP) Meeting. Parent and student are required to attend the meeting to sign intent forms to be considered for College Credit Plus! Meeting is held at Pioneer on Tuesday, Feb23rd at 6:00 pm. 6.
