After Prom: 11th grade parents take the lead, but any interested parents are
welcome to help plan this April event. Many volunteers needed throughout the
school year!!!
Black Book: Assist with sales of school directory at MHS Ice Cream Social,
Brady Schedule Pick Up days and/or Elementary Open Houses.
Concession Stand: Assist with operation for an evening basketball game.
Need two adults per evening. Student positions available as well.
Dance Ticket Sales During Lunch Periods (week preceding event, 2-4
volunteers needed per day):
 Homecoming: October
 Winter Formal: February
Health & Safety Committee: Serve on committee to identify topics and assist
with planning.
Staff Appreciation Holiday Buffet: Provide food and/or assist at luncheon for
staff in December. Many volunteers needed!
Senior Lunch: Serve at annual pizza lunch in April; priority given to senior
parents.
Senior Awards: Assist with serving for evening event in May; need underclass
parents; students can help as well.
Commencement: Assist with serving for post-Commencement reception in the
Commons on June 1st; need many parents of underclassmen; students can help
with this, too.
Senior Project Committee: Review project proposals, perform site visits and
review final reports. Open to ANY grade parent, beginning in February,
concluding in late May.
Spirit Items: Assist with sale of merchandise at any of the three Sports Awards
Nights, Homecoming football game, selected lunch periods and/or Open House.
Spring Plant Sale: Assist with sale at MHS during lunch periods in May.
Staff Appreciation Week: Help with events during this week in May.

Special Volunteer: Contact for events as needed.











you can put your skills to good use to benefit your child’s education. You can
also tackle new challenges that will help you grow.
 PTA helps you set a good example. As a PTA member, you’ll be
demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.

 Orange High School PTA can continue to provide funding for many programs
that benefit OHS, including Health & Safety programs to educate and protect
our children; educational grants for classroom equipment and programming;
student & teacher scholarships; start up funds for student clubs and
organizations; students events such as After Prom and Senior Lunch;
hospitality at many school events including Open House, College Night,
Senior Awards, Commencement, etc.

discounts as well as information to help you help your child and your school.
