Minutes from last meeting
 All agreed and signed off.
 Update that for the time being committee will remain as it is for the moment until a volunteer comes
forward to take over the Chairperson role.
Playground Equipment
 Playground Opening takes place on 17 Sept at 12.00.
 George and Cathy Grandison will officially open the equipment.
 East Lothian Courier & Musselburgh News will come and take photos.
 Julie will also take photos incase press don’t turn up.
 In terms of laying slabs in the garden a couple of parents have approached Sharlene and offered to
help. We currently have 3 volunteers and will need approximately 6 volunteers. Volunteers
requested from PFG to help also. A date has been agreed for 24th September to help lay slabs.
Anyone who can help should contact Sharlene.
Quiz Night
 So far responses for ticket requests for the quiz have been slow so Sharlene is going to organise
issuing paper copies of the request slips to hand out to pupils as a reminder.

 To increase our email distribution list, it was suggested to put email address space on the slip for
parents to add their own email address. Pam is going to look into best practice of Parent/teacher
Councils and how best to communicate with parents.

 We will have a childrens table with art materials like last year.
 Denise is going to bring wallpaper for the children to draw on and Sharlene will bring pens/pencils.
Nancy is going to organise a competition to get children to design a poster for Christmas hampers.
 Sarah is organising the main prize for the raffle and has priced an IPod shuffle

 Nancy confirmed the other prizes as 2x £10 IKEA vouchers, and tins of sweets
 Request to PFG members if they can bring bottles of wine/chocolates to donate to raffle All
 Nancy is to see Denise re arranging a float for the night.
 Community Centre has been booked from 6.30 until 10pm. Quiz will start at 7.30pm.






Volunteers are required to help sell raffle tickets on the night, however we will sell tickets on the
door when people arrive. Sharlene has volunteered to sell tickets at the door.

Gary Kerr will host the quiz. Nancy will co-0ordinate the timings of rounds with Gary as well as
organise childrens games.

Evie is going to arrange to get projector & screen from school, as questions for quiz will be
projected on screen. Sharlene also going to bring a projector/screen.

Evie/Jill have put together childrens questions and these will be incorporated into the quiz.
Sarah is going to buy white table cloths.

Volunteers are required to help set up/clear up so far include Linda, Pam, Nicola and Julie, Nancy.
Cheese & Wine
 Cheese and Wine night agreed for Thursday 2nd December.
 Venue will be Stoneyhill Community Centre. Nicola to book venue.
 Linda and June volunteered to help organise event also.
 It was agreed to charge stallholders £10 per stall to help cover cost of hall hire.

Calendars
 Discussions took place on whether we should produce a school calendar again this year and a tea
towel was suggested as an alternative.
 It was agreed to keep the tea towel idea for another time of year e.g. School fayre.
 A volunteer was asked for to co-ordinate the calendars this year.
Meantime Evie is going to speak to teachers to organise getting portraits done in class.
