"Skip", Lt. Col. Skip Hudson passed away on December 31, 2008, surrounded by his immediate family and friends. He is survived by his wife C.Anne, daughter Leigha and sister Edith Hudson. Skip was born in Philadelphia on November 21, 1942, the son of Lucien N. Hudson (Luke) and Dorothy Coombs Hudson, both of whom predeceased him. Skip enlisted as a Private in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from high school in 1961. He rose through the ranks to retire in 1989 as a Lieutenant Colonel working primarily with tactical air support systems. Skip married C.Anne Koss Hudson on July 2, 1966, in Fort Myers, Florida, and they were happily married for forty-two years at the time of his death. Skip and C.Anne fell in love with San Diego over thirty years ago when they visited here. Shortly thereafter, they moved to San Diego in 1977, where Skip retired from the Marine Corps in 1989, and started his second career as Vice President of New Cars, Inc. He retired from his second career in 2007, and took up a lifelong dream of sailing on his 35-foot Erickson named "Set Free." Skip loved life, his family and his friends deeply. We are celebrating his life with a Military Service to be held on January 20, 2009, promptly at 3:00 p.m., at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Those who wish to attend should assemble by 2:45 p.m. at the cemetery office to be taken to the site of the service. Please Google Rosecrans National Cemetery and view map for directions. Georgia Lawrence Radcliff Georgia Radcliff Georgia Radcliff, 64, of Fort Collins, passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, from complications related to a serious bacterial infection. She was born on Feb. 26, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Joseph and Lois Lawrence. Her family moved to Arcadia, Fla., in 1953, and then to Fort Myers, Fla., in 1957, where she met Paul Radcliff. After graduating from Florida Southern College with a bachelor's degree in English, she and Paul married in 1965. While at FSC, she was president of the Kappa Delta sorority. Paul, who recently retired as principal of Rocky Mountain High School, enjoyed 42 wonderful years of marriage with Georgia. From 1965-67, Georgia was employed as a purchasing agent for Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., while Paul attended graduate school. They moved to Fort Myers in 1967 where they lived until they moved to Fort Collins in 1977. ADVERTISEMENT Georgia made a conscious decision to be a stay-at-home mother and homemaker until her children were grown. In 1989, she began working for the Poudre School District as a secretary and teachers' assistant. She retired in December 2002 so she could prepare for her husband's retirement the following year. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, reading, traveling, and - most of all - supporting her family by regularly attending their sporting and musical events. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. As Paul's partner for 42 years, Georgia was well known around the campus of Rocky Mountain High School and has often been called "The First Lady of RMHS." She was best known for her warm, nurturing spirit and her phenomenal ability to listen, counsel, lead and comfort others. Georgia was a model wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother and friend. Her sweet nature had a positive impact on everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Paul Radcliff, of Fort Collins; daughter, Lori Lynn Radcliff, of Santa Monica, Calif.; son, Douglas Ryan Radcliff and wife, Danielle, of Greeley; son, Michael Andrew Radcliff and wife, Kelly, of Fort Collins; and sister, Ruth Meredith, of Fort Myers, Fla. She also had four grandchildren: Doug's children, Mallory Paige, 9, and Dylan Joseph, 8; and Mike's sons, Easton Michael, 7, and Hudson Paul, 4. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial/celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at First Baptist Church at 900 E. Prospect Road in Fort Collins. An informal reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, Georgia's family requests that people donate to the Rocky Mountain High School Lobo Way Scholarship Fund, c/o Allnutt Funeral Chapel, 650 West Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526, (970) 482-3208. This scholarship was created by the RMHS students and staff in 2003 to recognize students who try to do the right thing. It rewards character and leadership as well as scholarship.
