Structural Inspector II Fulfill your potential with Washington County and our Land Use and Transportation Department. The Structural Inspector II will inspect all types of commercial, industrial, public, and residential buildings throughout the construction phase for code compliance; record violations and maintain inspection records. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be any combination of experience and training sufficient to achieve required State Certification. At least one of the following is required if using the Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC) and International Code Council (ICC) certifications as qualifying: 1. A minimum of two years of construction or inspection related experience, or experience as an inspector; or 2. An approved one year inspection-related education program and a minimum of one year of construction or inspection related experience; or 3. A degree from an approved two year inspection related education program or its equivalent; or 4. Be a registered Oregon architect or a certified Oregon professional engineer, or have a bachelor or master degree in architecture or civil or structural engineering. BUILDING INSPECTION LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Possession of: Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC) and Oregon A-level Structural Inspector Certification, or International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Commercial Building Inspector, and Oregon A-level Mechanical Inspector Certification, or ICC certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector, and Oregon Residential/One and Two Family Dwelling Structural Inspector Certification, or ICC certification as a Residential Building Inspector, and Oregon Residential/One and Two Family Dwelling Mechanical Inspector Certification, or ICC certification as a Residential Mechanical Inspector.
