Anwyl Head Office tel 01745 353000 Anticipated duration of the works Start date August 2015 finish July 2016 Co-Ordination with any other contractors carrying out work on St.Davids Park at the same time such works. Under CDM regulations Anwyl will co-operate and communicate fully with other contractors working on St. Davids Park that may have an impact on the surrounding area during the construction phase. As far as Anwyl are aware there is no scheduled contractor work close to The proposed new office project. The access and egress route with appropriate traffic monitoring in order to control traffic movements All construction parking is contained within the site boundary, this is to maintain a clear unobstructed route for all traffic movements. To assist the Site Manager a full time banks man/labourer has been employed to monitor the above. Gates will be in position and be set back as far as possible within the site to allow a vehicle to wait in on the road not blocking the Running Hare entrance i.e. preferably set-back 12m to allow a delivery vehicle to park/wait; movements – see traffic management plan showing location Measures of avoiding depositing mud, dust or other debris onto the highway by incorporating wheel wash and dust suppression equipment A hard standing will be created within the site area for loading of surplus materials which should mitigate any deposits of mud onto the highway, however we recognise this is not 100% guaranteed, so full authorisation has been given to the site manager to hire in a road sweeper as an when required. There will also be a forklift on site with a brush/sweep attachment to clear any debris off site. To mitigate the chances of litter outside the site boundary, skips will be netted. There will also be a site labourer whose job will be to ensure that the surrounding areas are kept clean and litter free. The timing of deliveries and main construction traffic arrivals and departures to avoid periods such as school arrival /leaving times Anwyl Buying department have been fully briefed and will endeavour to clearly state on all purchase orders that large vehicles are to be pre warn the site manager of their arrival to ensure that they can be unloaded quickly. Delivery of materials and goods will be programmed to avoid peak times on the park 0800 to 0900 hrs and 1600 to 1700 hrs where possible. Working hours Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm / Saturday 8am to 2.30pm No Sunday working unless absolutely necessary. The parking of vehicles of site operatives and visitors All parking is contained within the site area (see location plan attached). Loading and unloading of plant and materials See plan attached. Storage of plant and materials used in constructing the development See plan attached. Site notices and signage informing construction workers and other site operatives of agreed working hours This is discussed within the site induction and monitored by the Site Manager to make sure all site staff cooperate. The front entrance will have a site safety sign displayed (see below). Signage will be displayed on the perimeter fencing and scaffold. This will come under temporary works and comply with BS 5975 Security arrangements 360 degree security cameras will be strategically placed around the site and linked to a 24hour call centre or linked via webcam to the head office. The perimeter of the site will concreted post with Heras fencing fixed to the posts. The compound area have lighting during the hours of darkness Measures to control the emission of dust and dirt during the construction Dust suppression control (zero tolerance) will be enforced at all times by the site manager. Control of dust is included in the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan A scheme for recycling/disposing of waste resulting from construction works Thorncliffe will dispose of all waste from site. This is then taken to a waste transfer station for recycling. Thorncliffe are a member of Green Compass so all re-cycled waste is calculated as a percentage with over 90% of waste re-cycled and nil waste to landfill as the remainder is used in ‘Waste to Energy’ power stations. Communication/Liaison with the business park All businesses, occupiers and tenants will be kept informed with periodic letter drops/newsletters. Anwyl will maintain effective community engagement throughout the construction period to build on existing relationships with the communities alongside the scheme; inform affected communities about how the effects of construction activities will be mitigated; inform affected communities about the timetable of the construction works; and provide information on enquiry and complaint procedures. Protection of existing landscape The existing area will be in the confines of the perimeter fencing. No tree felling is required. All diesel tanks will be double bunded and drip trays used when filling plant and equipment. Generators will have drip trays underneath them when in operation. Protection of services Existing service drawings with service locations will be available on site. Control measures form part of the Construction Phase Plan. Services will be located and marked up before any excavations begin. Groundwork contractors will Hand dig to locate services. Emergency numbers will be located on the notice board for all utility companies.
