Computers (including its accessories)
Servers
Internet and
Copper wires
Computers will be needed for the control room to control the train because bullet trains do not
have drivers just as traditional trains. It runs from control room. About 20 computers will be
needed. Moreover this demand can increase if we offer online reservation system in future.
Approximately 5 servers will be needed to control the flow of traffic from and to client
computers. Internet packages with 8-10 Mbps speed will be required at-least for control room.
Wire system 10x of the total tracks length will be required. Computers and servers can be
available from foreign source and internet and copper wires will be available from domestic
source. Past trend of prices is that newer computer technologies always cost high for latest
models but lower for old models. Computer technology becomes old with frequency of the
newer technology in the market. Future trend is predicted to be the same as past.

Electrical power resource
Electric power of 22,800 kilowatts will be needed for each bullet train. And we are hoping for 2
bullet trains. We intend to have our own power house for not interrupting in general electricity
for domestic and industrial consumption. This will provide us maximum security from shortage
of electricity.
Important information:
18 million passengers in a year
300 billion dollars
350km/h
39 months
Shanghai and Beijing
7 times more speed approximately
49 million rupees per km cost in India 1987
Cost in 2010 is $9.5 million per km
Power needed by China’s fastest #1 bullet train is 22,800 kilowatts
Maximum speed should be 300km/h in order to be safe
Production Technology:
There are two ways for bullet trains track laying. These are:


Either we use tunnels
Or use bridges for tracks
Best will be to make bridges rather than tunnels because of minimum level of friction on bridge
is possible as compared to tunnels. Moreover it is better to build bridges due to less time taken
for completion as compared to tunnels which need more time to be prepared. Secondly, tunnels
are made in mountains, while the area, which we are going to cover are plains so there is no need
of tunnels. Travelling intra-country has preference of construction of bridges.
Choice of technology:
The technology, we use depend on 6 heads like:
Usage by other people:
People of other developed countries have used it previously. It originated from Japan
where winter is cold enough and summer is moderate. So, cold weather will not affect the bullet
train system. Other countries like,
Africa: Algeria, Morocco
Asia:China Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Uzbekistan
Europe: Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain,
Sweden, Turkey and UK.
USA: North America
And Belgium - France - Germany - the Netherlands use tunnel based system, spain uses bridge
based system. France uses tunnel based system for inter-country travel and bullet train on bridges
for intra-country travel (local from one city to another).
Primary raw material:
Our primary raw material is electro-magnet which is made by electricity when current flows
from the conductor. So, electricity is majorly required which we intend to product privately from
another project. Obviously, we have to complete this project before our bullet train project. And
the electricity project requires approximately 2 to 3 years for completion which is estimated very
roughly. So this project is not feasible to be performed before 2 years. Or if it is necessary to be
performed within these 2-3 years, then govt. Contracts must be made and demand of enough
electricity from its own source is required. But it may be exploiting public interest and we intent
to benefit and facilitate the society. The project is not feasible for at-least 2 to 3 years.
Product mix:
It’s a one time cost and we are delivering services to our customers. Which may be having high
price. Because considering the other trends, Daewoo bus system costs Rs. 500 a ticket. But when
we compared to India, it cost 5000 rupees for travelling via bullet train. Considering their
currency price, our ticket should be PKR. 8100 (approximately, if we do target pricing.)
Ease of absorption:
Our Pakistan railway system has been very poor since last decade. People moving for anyother
city have to be late for 5-6 hours normally which is increased in case of special occasions which
reaches about 24 hour-48 hour delay. In the presence of such type of conditions in the market,
the bullet train system is requirement and need. It will not only be accepted by people but will be
asbsorbed in the market easily.
Latest developments:
China has introduced fasted train of 380 km/h which is now-a-days considered as unsafe. So,
now we have to introduce 280 km/h to 300 km/h fast train that will be readily accepted by the
people here and will be more safe as compared to China’s new fastest 380 km/h train. Moreover
the driver cabin is not required or present in bullet trains so trained drivers are not needed. Just
the computer operators for control room and maintenance staff for trains are needed.
Investment outley and production cost:
India costed 9.5 million dollars in 2010. Now converting in Pakistani currency and adding
inflation
The bullet train project may be costing 15.39 million dollar per km.
Inflated at 21.546
Route of Faisalabad to Islamabad= 321.5 km
Total cost will be = 6927.039 million dollars. Or 6.9 billion dollars.
Route of Multan to Faisalabad= 246.2km
Total cost will be = 5304.6252 million dollars or 5.3 billion dollars
Rote of Lahore to Faisalabad= 175.6km
Total cost will be = 3783.4776 million dollar or 3.8 billion dollars.
Total funds requirement for tracks(single) is 16 billion dollars
Double track will cost about 32 billion dollar at-least.
Cost of bullet train will
Product Mix:
We are offering services to general public for facilitating them. We want that our Pakistani
nationals complete their journey safely and securely with speedy travelling. We aim to develop
the infrastructure of Pakistan by developing transport and travelling.
Plant Capacity:
Input constraints are about minimum and can be taken where-ever needed. Market conditions for
this project are seeming feasible because customers demand low cost and on-time vehicle with
appropriate speed. The firm will purchase the assets like building machinery for bridges and
tracks because the project is huge. May be the full amount of machinery be depreciated during
completion.Govt. policy will be feasible and we hope that there will be no restrictions in this
project because govt. has already promised with general public while confessing for the votes
that bullet trains will be operating from Karachi to Khyber. If we will perform this on behalf of
govt. for Punjab region, it is probable that govt. will appreciate and provide tax benefits and
incentives.
6. Location and Sight:
1. Proximity to Raw Material:
As per our project, we are going to import Bullet train.
1.
In case of bullet train there is less proximity to raw material but more to the
market.
2. For the construction of bridges , we will have to construct bridges on which tracks
will be laid.In this case proximity to raw material in case of Faisalabad and
Lahore will be more than to the Islamabad and Multan. But proximity to market
will be balanced in all cities.
3. In case of construction of tracks, as it will be an imported technology so there
will be less proximity to raw materil but more to the market because labor is
available in Pakistan.
2. Availability of Infrastructure:
We need infrastructure for our project.
1. We need connection of electricity because bullet train will be run by electricity. It will
include following activities:



Electricity central office
Security System
System of Announcements
2. We also need Telecommunication system for being in connection.
3. Gas and Water utilities are also needed for it.
4. We need area for construction for bridges which will be over the road.
3. Other Factors:
1. Environmental Pollution:
There will be no gaseous emition but due to high vibration because of
electricity usage there will be noise pollution. But its advantage is more than
its noise.Other than that there is no need of disposing any kind of material
wastage in case of bullet train.
2. Labor Situations:
First of all we will remove the system of double hiring of people and we wil hire
labor from it.As cheap labor is available in Pakistan but it is not mostly skilled. So,
we will have to give training to th elanor force to run such type of train.
3. Climate Conditions:
There is no issue of climate for completion of our project because Pakistan have
four seasons which is good for it.As the train will run through electricity for this
purpose we will install some type of conductor so that there will be no short
circuit and of there will be too much bad climate then we will delay train.
4. General Living Conditions:
There will be an impact of such type of train on the living of people because it is
fast as well as comfortable for the people so they will prefer it for their day to day
traveling. It will also replace the old and outdated syatem of railway in Pakistan in
result of which living of people will be better
7. Machine and Equipment:
As it is a process based job so we need same kind of equipment for working of our project. It
means no need of variation of machines and equipments.

For Railway Track Construction:
The material used for railway construction is , graders, bulldozers and otherheavy
machinery., rollers, thermit etc.

Electrical Equipment
Electrical Equipment includes generators and compressors because we will need it so that
in case of load shedding we may use it and there will be no wastage of time,

Control Panels
There will be load control panels for our project because over load and inder load of
electricity may be harmful for train passengers.

Lifts
There is a need of lift or such kind of the thing because to reach the bridge we need to use
such kind of lift
