Course Description:

Part 1: Numerical analysis

- An introduction to the analysis and computer implementation of basic numerical techniques.

- Solution of linear equations, eigenvalue problems, local and global methods for non-linear equations.

- Interpolation and approximate integration.

Part 2: Linear algebra

- Theory and applications of vectors and matrices, including systems of linear equations.

- linear transformations in Euclidean space

- Determinants, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and diagonalization.
