coastline is rocky and jagged. In some places it drops sharply into the ocean. The Atlantic coastline is
flat, low land along the Atlantic Ocean. It is more sandy than the Pacific.

are alike and different. Explain why. The two major mountain ranges are the Appalachian and
Rocky Mountains. They are alike because they are made-up of many different mountains.
They are different because the Appalachians are older and more rounded. Erosion has caused
them to be less rocky. The Rocky Mountains are younger and jagged.
