FROG FACTS
1. Read and solve.
Frogs are amphibians. They usually lay their eggs in the spring. When the eggs hatch, tiny tadpoles are born.
The tadpoles grow and develop into frogs through a process called metamorphosis. By summer time, they
have become four legged adults.
Frogs live between 4 and 24 years, depending on the species. They have very special skin, they don´t just
wear it, they drink and breathe trough it! So frogs have to take care of their skin so that they don’t
suffocate. They do this by regularity shedding it, that is, a new skin grows and the old one peels off.
Frogs have long sticky tongue, which they roll out like a carpet to catch insects, they can jump long distances
and the longest distance recorded is 10 meters. If you touch a frog, it feels cold and slimy.
