Dear Parent/Guardian,
ECCHS, students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact
outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for
improved student academic achievement as well as describes how school and parents will build and
develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards. Please review the
attached School-Parent Compact.
Please sign and date below to acknowledge that you have read, received, and agree to this SchoolParent Compact. Once signed, please return the form to your child’s teacher and keep the SchoolParent Compact as a reminder of your commitment. The School-Parent Compact will be discussed with
you throughout the year at different school-family events as we work together to help your child
succeed in school. We look forward to our school-parent partnership!

Our Goals for Student
Achievement
Elbert County District Goals 1A
By 2016, 95% or more of Elbert County students will
graduate having mastered the skills needed to succeed as
21st Century learners, workers, and citizens.
We will obtain this goal by increasing each student’s skills in the
following areas:
1. Math - Competency in math in numbers and operations by 15% over 3
years.
2. Literacy - Literacy skills in reading comprehension, informational
reading,
and writing by 15% over 3 years.
3. English/Language Arts (ELA) – Competency in grammar, sentence
construction, research and the writing process by 15% over 3
years.

Goals
 In the 2014-2015 school year, the student performance levels on the
new Georgia Milestones End of Course (EOC) Assessment will increase
in percentage of students meeting/exceeding in all areas as follows:
 By 2016, 90 percent or more of Elbert County high school students will
graduate having mastered the skills that they need to succeed as
21st Century learners, workers, and citizens.
 During the 2014-2015 school year, student graduation groups will
increase the percentage of students completing a CTAE pathway,
advanced academic pathway, or fine arts pathway from 70.8% to 75%.
