It may even be helping you to increase the governance and management infrastructure of your society or helping you gain access to better equipment and instructors, ultimately increasing your level of performance. It may be ALL of the above! Whatever your goals or aspirations are as a club/society, LUU are committed to helping you achieve this. In order to do this it is now time for you as a committee to work together and complete a society development plan for the year and begin to consider the longer terms plans for your society. The below steps will help you through this process. LUU Club/Society aspirations: Leeds University Union has the aspiration to ensure all clubs & societies - are run safely - are sustainable - profile LUU and the University positively. To achieve the aspirations outlined above, we need all LUU club/societies to support us in our mission so in turn we can support you in yours. This is where we aim to form a joint partnership between LUU and all clubs and societies through the completion of development plans. The intention of this exercise is for you as a committee to set a vision for the society(where do you want the society to be in 5 years time when you return as alumni?), take stock of where you are in achieving your vision, and then coordinate an action plan to start the ball rolling with making your vision a reality! So it’s really important that you complete this development plan together as a committee. You can even share this with your society to let them know what your doing and get their feedback too! It’s up to you how you want to complete the plan but do ensure you give your committee enough time to complete it. There are 6 Tasks to complete below. Follow the instructions for each Task and once completed email your development plan back to your development coordinator so they have a copy and can continue the discussion with you.
