To Nick Crameri.
My name is Angus Landeryou, and I would like to apply for the available Wait-Staff position at your business, Nick’s
Swiss Italian Restaurant.
Since commencing work in customer service five years ago, I have grown and developed various skills relevant to
retail and hospitality environments, whilst enjoying the work that I do. I am always willing to expose myself to new
situations, learn new experiences and learn more about myself and my abilities. I enjoy interacting with customers
and co-workers and I love the feeling of satisfaction from hard work on a busy day.
Although I haven’t had any wait-staff experience in a restaurant, I have done similar work in café’s and takeaway’s,
delivering good food and results to tables and pride myself in the ability to balance three plates on each arm, though I
may be out of practise.
I have an enthusiastic, friendly, light hearted and humourous approach to both my professional and personal lives, but
I also always have a strict code of professionalism and always ensure that a customers needs are met as much as
possible and without delay. I am a fast writer and an enthusiastic, fast worker.
Being a fan of dining in Restaurants, I have picked up on the do’s and don’t’s of working, having experienced both good
and bad customer service, I believe I have learnt from these experiences and can apply this knowledge in your
business.
As mentioned earlier, I thouroughly enjoy customer service, as making other people’s day, makes me satisfied. I often
take it upon myself to resolve any issues, never hesitating to get advice from a higher ranking, or more experienced
member of staff to help me provide a customer with above satisfactory reuslts.
I currently hold an RSA and a certificate I and II in Business (Though I am sure the two latter qualifications hold no
relevance). I am participating in a Certificate III in Management, applicable to retail and hospitality.
I am currently learning Deutschisch (German) as a second language. Being Australian, I speak English as a first
language.
I am willing to work weekends and holidays and am currently available every day. I can work night or day shifts, either
on casual, part time or full time hours.
