Application
Please submit your application by November 10, 2015 to fellowships@oikos-international.org.
Your application needs to be submitted as a single PDF-file and named as:
LAST_NAME-FIRST_NAME-2015-app.pdf (e. g. Doe-John-2015-app.pdf).
Your application package should include:
 The application form, duly completed and signed,
 A complete curriculum vitae (at most 3 pages),
 A copy of official grade transcripts, detailed and complete, for your undergraduate,
graduate studies and a transcript for on-going studies,
 A copy of your university degrees,
 If available: GRE, GMAT, and/or TOEFL test scores. GMAT or GRE is required for applicants
with a master degree from non-Bologna states or in fields other than economics, finance or
business administration. GMAT has to be at least 660 points.
 Two recommendations from faculty members to be sent directly by postal mail or email by
the persons recommending you. Recommendations can be, but don’t have to be, based on
the recommendation form provided at http://oikos-international.org/fellowships.
Important
 Application deadline: November 10, 2015.
 Only candidates with a complete application package will be considered for admission.
 The official grade transcripts and university degrees may be in English, French, German, or
Italian; otherwise, copies of the originals, along with a certified translation by the embassy
or consulate of the originating country, must be provided. Letters of recommendation may
be in English or German. All other documents (application form, letter of motivation,
curriculum vitae) must be in English.
 The fellowship is made available to pursue a PhD at the Department of Banking and
Finance of the University of Zurich. The fellows will enter the “General Doctoral program”
(Track A), unless otherwise agreed, on “Banking and Finance”. Admission to this program is
dependent on having a Master's degree from a university or an equivalent degree with the
distinction of summa cum laude or magna cum laude. In justified cases, the requirement of
distinction can be waived. Degrees from executive programs or Master of Advanced Studies
programs (e.g. EMBA, MAS etc.) do not qualify for acceptance to this program. Further

 All PhD level courses for a PhD at the Department of Banking and Finance at the University
of Zurich are taught in English.
