What’s happening at Royal Bay this week
 Level 3 – Finish Painting and corridor flooring
underway
 Lockers on site and being installed
 Theatre baffles installed and being painted
 Theatre lights being installed
 Washrooms being tiled and painted
 Wood floor in gym being installed
 Rooftop Basketball court being installed.
 Inside floor to ceiling windows installed
 Artificial Turf being installed.
 Ryder Hesjedal road being completed
 Exterior - Pouring mow strip around artificial
field. Working on parking subgrade.
 Fixture installations ( Ceramic Tiles)
 Millwork installation (Cupboards, shelves, sinks…)
 Flooring Installation on-going
 Painting on-going
 Final grading around the building
 Artificial field prep on-going
 Outside cladding installation on-going
Academy Registration is now only online. All families
who are currently in academies and want to continue in
the academy must register for next year. New

This is a multi-grade class focused on developing
lacrosse and associated skills. This is a linear course.

on Construction, Plumbing, Electrical
Sheet metal and pipe fitting

Royal Bay is happy to provide horse enthusiasts the
opportunity to hone their skills, understanding and earn
credits in Equine Studies. Please contact Ms. Beadall or

RBSS Parent Advisory Council 2015/2016
Don't miss your opportunity as a parent / guardian
to shape the historic first year of Royal Bay
Secondary School. Elections for the RBSS PAC
positions of President and Treasurer will take place
during the June 3rd meeting. 6:30-7:30 Dunsmuir

Culinary Arts
 WE”VE HIRED A CHEF!!! Introducing Rowan
Bezeau; he is a fully accredited BC teacher and
Red Seal Chef. Rowan has spent many years in
the industry and has recently finished hi teacher
education from UBC. He is currently at Gulf
Island Secondary working with their culinary
arts program. Welcome Rowan!
 A full complement of culinary arts classes,
ranging from Foods 9, 10 through Cafeteria
Training 11 and 12 to Culinary Arts ACE-It
training. All courses taught by a Red Seal
trained BC qualified teacher and a qualified
Kitchen Manager.
Performing Arts
 Royal Bay has a 350 seat professional theatre
with an orchestra pit.
 Royal Bay will have a full complement of music,
theatre and dance classes.
