Detailed description (if available) of the origin, year of isolation, source of isolation and

reference, as well as the mean attraction (±SE) to Drosophila simulans (see Palanca et al.

2013), for each of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae genotypes tested. These total 97 distinct yeast
7
genotypes: five yeasts isolated from New Zealand caught D. simulans, 51 different S. cerevisiae
8
genotypes spanning the genetic and ecological diversity of the natural S. cerevisiae population
9
characterised in New Zealand (Goddard et al. 2010; Gayevskiy & Goddard 2012), 36 S.
10
cerevisiae genotypes spanning the genetic and ecological diversity globally described in Liti et
11
al.(2009) and five genotypes used in commercial wine making (Richards et al. 2009).
