No, there is no problem if you have a SA Medical License to taking up Level 1 Certificate course in

8. The conference the doctor applied for is cancelled?
I wish to inform you that unfortunately AAAM has postponed the Brunei course till further notice.
Always suggest the alternative, the next one and in case the doctor is applying for the level 1, suggest
him also the next level 2 conference.

10. Is it possible to attend the level 2 course without taking the level 1 first?
Unfortunately AAAM strictly requires physicians to complete Level 1 before attending Level 2. May I
suggest you participate in Level 1 in KL July follow by Level 2 in following locations please:
a) Bangkok: 17 - 21 August
b) Singapore: 24 - 28 August
c) KL: 2 - 6 November
11. Is it possible to bring the bank draft and give it to u by hand rather than bank transfer to your
account?

12. Do you offer courses in aesthetic medicine (other than hair transplant) for registered nurses?
Mesotherapy in Sydney is the only destination Mesotherapy is open to registered nurses. In
Australia, registered nurses are performing Mesotherapy injections. However we should add in our
reply to her that she may like to check with the New Zealand medical authorities if nurses are
permitted to inject Mesotherapy in New Zealand before she registers in our course.

13. We work with Mesotherapy Worldwide and they are based in Australia. They sponsor products
for our Asia Mesotherapy workshops, refer doctor's enquiries to us, as well as recruit patients for all
workshops in Sydney.
1. The proper advanced course upon completion of Level 1 Certificate Course
Will Dr. Tseng be eligible to progress on to other courses of AAAM?
AAAM Board Certification Courses offered in three parts culminating in AAAM Board Certification.
Each Level must be completed in order, and none may be skipped, regardless of knowledge or
experience level. This means that once Dr. Tseng successfully passes Level 1, he can attend Level 2
Course, culminating in AAAM Board Certification.

2. Will the course be conducted in Chinese or English?
All courses will be conducted in English. However during Level 1 workshops, we will be enlisting the
services of a Taiwanese Assistant Trainer to provide explanation of the procedure in Chinese
language at workshops.
3. Will all the participants get to do the hands-on practice? if so, how long does each participants get
to do the practice?
All participants receive hands-on training on live patients at our workshops. Usually we assign 2
doctors to share one patient during hands-on practice and this is closely supervised by our trainers.
The hands-on training workshop last around 1 to 1.5 hours. The duration of hands-on practice by
each participant will be dependent on number of questions posed to the trainer.
In case Dr Tseng would like to bring along a patient for Botox, Filler and Chemical Peel workshops at
Level 1 course, please do let us know.
4. As for the minimum attendance requirement for the courses, does it apply to the personal
attendance or the number of participants?
The minimum attendance required applies to the doctors.
Dr. Tseng would like to know how many other physicians that she'll be taking the classes with.
We estimate an attendance of 10 to 12 doctors. However at this stage we are still collecting
registrations.
1. From Dr. Chin from Singapore who wants to know if the courses are approved by Singapore
Medical Council
[Jessica] Please explain to Dr Chin AAAM courses are currently not accredited by Singapore
Medical Council as AAAM is a foreign institution. Presently only the training programs
offered by National Skin Centre by Prof Goh Chee Leok are approved by Singapore Medical
Council. However we encountered many cases whereby doctors after completing the
program by National Skin Centre enrolled in AAAM courses to gain hands-on training.
2. Dr. Omer Sheikh called to ask why he is not on the list of the doctors who passed Board
exam. Secondly, he wants to know once passed a Board exam, does it make him eligible to
practice in Pakistan/Malaysia (he said it is similar Pakistan/Malaysia). So, is there any
governmental approval we are familiar with which allows him to practice in these two
countries?
[Jessica] I thought I have asked John to announce the doctors who passed the Board Exam in
KL February but I no longer can locate the email. Dr Sheikh is one of the Board Certified
Doctors in Feb 2012. Please help me to apologize to him for my oversight and I have
activated our webmaster to post his name in our website asap.

I wish to enquire whether I would be eligible to undertake Masters courses after only
complete Level 1 certification.
Essentially doctors after completing Level 1 are eligible to partake in all Masters Courses except
following 2 courses:
a) Masters in Botox & Filler
b) Facial Sculpturing Masters in Botox & Filler
Doctors who have completed Level 2 automatically qualify for above 2 Masters courses. Otherwise
they can submit their credentials to us for AAAM’s approval.
Does the level 2 sclerotherapy component enable me to actually do sclerotherapy on completion?
The Sclerotherapy treatment is rather easy to perform, as it requires only injection of Sclerosant
using syringes and needles to treat spider and varicose veins. Doctors who went through our Level 2
training have offered Sclerotherapy treatment in their practices. However if you prefers to gain more
practical experience after the Level 2 course, you could perhaps practice on your friends, staff or
relatives etc as it is a minimally invasive procedure.
What's the difference between the courses Masters Course in Botox and fillers and Facial Sculpturing
Masters Course in Botox and Fillers?
The two are the same course. We are trying out using a different terminology for course title to
gauge response from doctors.
I am really interested in the liposuction course but the course fee is really Prohibitive.
Few lectures + 2 hands on can cost US$5,000
We understand your perspectives regarding the course fees.
May we share with you why the course fees are on the high side. Liposuction is unlike our Botox and
Filler workshops whereby we can recruit several patients for hands-on injections. For training
purposes and for patient's safety, our trainer can only limit to performing liposuction on 2 cases per
day on 2nd and 3rd day,
Additionally by keeping the class size to not more than 8 doctors, we ensure each doctor has hands
on experience on live patients. In light of the small class size the course fees are on the high side to
cover costs.
We apologize AAAM is unable to offer discounts. May we recommend you enroll as AAAM member
at USD175 per year to enjoy privileged member's rate at USD5500 please?
