ALL STOCK SHOW PASSES ARE HERE : Please come by during normal business hours to pick up yours.
HORSE VALIDATION: Horse Validation is completed each year on 4-H Connect for EACH HORSE and
will cover all 4-H youth members in a family profile. It costs $10 to validate each horse if
completed from March 1-April 15. After April 15, it will cost $20 per horse. FINAL DEADLINE
TO VALIDATE IS MAY 1.
STUDENT ABSENCES: If you plan to miss any school for upcoming stock shows, please contact Joyce
Skelton, 364-3573, immediately. Include the student’s name and which day the absence is needed. We
will be checking academic eligibility for all 4-H exhibitors, in keeping with No Pass No Play guidelines.
TCFA FED-BEEF CHALLENGE - TCFA Junior Fed Beef Challenge steers must be validated between March
1-28. The entry deadline is April 17. Steers are to be delivered to auction on July 24. Record books are
due July 27. Contest Day is August 1 at WTAMU.

4-H PUBLIC SPEAKING WORKSHOP – A 4-H Public Speaking Workshop will offered 5:30-7:00 p.m. on
Thursday, March 12, for all 4-H ages. Another easy contest opportunity is to record a 4-H Public Service
Announcement. We can help you with your Educational Presentation, Share-the-Fun or PSA. Just give us
a call!
CONSUMER DECISION TEAMS FORMING – We have begun working on Consumer Decision in
preparation for District contest on Thursday, April 30. The next meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, March 4.
TIME TO THINK ABOUT 4-H SUMMER CAMP: Please call our office if you are interested or need more
information.
ENTOMOLOGY PROJECT - The Entomology Project District contest will be a written test at the district
office on April 27. Call the local office to sign-up.
DUDS TO DAZZLE - The District competition is April 14th. There will be a variety of Clothing opportunities
through the spring.
COMMUNITY SERVICE –Call the office, 364-3573, to volunteer to help carry books at the County
Library’s Book Sale from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 6.
