Chancellor's Scholarship
The Chancellor's Scholarship is offered to one student who demonstrates the very
highest academic achievement and service to their college. The scholarship awards an
amount up to 18 letter graded credits of in-county tuition and the registration fee for
each semester, plus $250 each semester for books and supplies.
To be eligible, a current full-time Honors student must enroll at the college on a fulltime basis for Fall 2016, and maintain a MCCCD cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
One scholarship is awarded. Must be a non-Presidents’ Honors Scholarship recipient
during Fall 2016.
Foundation Scholarship
The Foundation Scholarship is presented to reward and encourage a highly motivated,
academically gifted student. Amounts may vary. The Honors Program may choose to
present one scholarship, or to divide the funds and present multiple scholarships.
To be eligible, a current full-time Honors student must enroll at the college on a fulltime basis for Fall 2016, and maintain a MCCCD cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Must be a non-Presidents’ Honors Scholarship recipient during Fall 2016.
DUE DATE FOR APPLICATION: FEBRUARY 19, 2016
ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE IN THE HONORS OFFICE BY 3:00PM
Required paperwork:
1. Submit the application with two current Paradise Valley Community College
Faculty member references (provide name, contact information, and
signatures).
2. Attach a copy of an unofficial college transcript to document the hour
requirements for the scholarship.
3. Write and submit a Personal Statement of 500-750 words in which you discuss
your educational values and goals. This essay should reveal your maturity and self-
knowledge. You need to consider three questions: Who am I? How did I get that
way? Where am I going?
