West London Business Awards 2015 winners announced!
Westfield London scooped the big award – being crowned West London Business of the
Year at the glittering ceremony with around 300 attendees at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel at
Heathrow last night. The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of organisations
and individuals across three themes: economic growth; sustainable and responsible
business; and sector leadership
Judges chose Westfield from all of the category winners for the overall award. They were
unanimous in their choice, giving a variety of reasons including Westfield’s own success,
and the way that this rubs off on a wide range of other businesses in the region. One said
“Westfield works hard for its tenants, of course, but its presence inspires investment in
Shepherds Bush – which has a remarkable amount of activity – and in West London as a
whole”.
Another commented: “It provides a huge amount of employment – much of it for local people
who have found new opportunity and new aspirations. All in all, Westfield is a powerful
catalyst for good in West London!”
Westfield also won the Green Business of the Year award, for their efforts in achieving zero
waste to landfill for them and their tenants. Also winning two categories were energy
consultancy Beond, A2Dominion, Brunel University London and Kolak Snack Foods, who
were crowned Park Royal Business of the Year.

These are the only business awards for west London. They aim to celebrate business
excellence, and showcase the innovation and entrepreneurial character within west
London’s remarkable business community.
Ross Sturley, publisher of Business West magazine and Principal of co-organiser Chart
Lane, said: “These awards demonstrate the quality that exists in West London. The
combination of large international companies and nimble, entrepreneurial start-ups makes
for a dynamic and exciting business environment. It’s no wonder this is the UKs second
largest sub-regional economy.”
Andrew Dakers, CEO of West London Business concludes: “West London Business works
to help drive forward the sub-region’s global economic competitiveness. Last night's winners
and shortlisted entries all remind us of the sheer excellence that runs through our economy
and demonstrate why West London is the best place to do business."
