September 4, 2014, Indiana PA. QUINTECH TO DISPLAY ITS NEXUS FAMILY OF LAB AUTOMATION SWITCHES AT CTIA IN LAS VEGAS Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc. is excited to introduce its NEXUS family of switches to better serve the wireless market at CTIA. Built upon 25 years of industry proven reliability, the NEXUS 3 matrix switch is available now and has been successfully integrated into many laboratories of Tier 1 service providers and equipment manufacturers in North America and Asia. Other NEXUS products will be unveiled in the near future. The NEXUS 3 is the first 700-3000 MHz bi-directional fully non-blocking RF matrix switch that can connect any or all input ports to any or all output ports. It has 1024 independent paths, each of which has its own independent 0 to 60 dB variable attenuator. These attenuators can be used for channel fading tests and balancing signal levels to minimize cross-talk on multi-channel links. The integrated capabilities of the NEXUS 3 provide unprecedented signal routing flexibility such that complicated 2x2 to 8x8 MIMO (multiple in, multiple out) and mixed MIMO/SISO (single in, single out) test scenarios can be readily achieved. Quintech CEO, Dan Prushnok, envisions the NEXUS family of switches as the keystone centerpiece of the modern mobile broadband laboratory. “The proliferation of video streaming and other information-on-demand applications have driven the increasing need of mobile broadband. Meeting such a demand using different wireless technologies with higher order MIMO for an increasing number of users poses a major challenge to the wireless industry for designing and testing future proof networks in a timely manner. The NEXUS family of switches will help meet that challenge by enabling large scale wireless testing capabilities, increasing lab efficiency and reducing time-to-market,” says Dan Prushnok. Quintech will exhibit at the 2014 CTIA wireless trade show September 9-11 at the Sands Convention Center, booth no. 2961. The CTIA show is one of the world’s largest forums for the cellular and wireless industry. Quintech will be previewing its NEXUS 4 matrix switch, which will have extended frequency range to 4000 MHz to include TD-LTE channels. The NEXUS 4 will be available early 2015. About Quintech: For over 15 years, Quintech Electronics and Communications Inc. has provided keystone test & measurement matrix switches to Tier 1 wireless testing laboratories around the world. These RF matrix switching systems allow for wireless test lab automation providing repeatable, recordable and remotely controlled testing. Our global customer base includes chipset, network equipment, device and UE manufacturers. This automation is critical for the complex, ever changing wireless environment commonly referred to as the Heterogeneous Network (HetNet). Quintech also provides lab management software that allows for scheduling multiple remote users, bringing cost and resource efficiency to a critical part of the product development and verification process. Quintech lab automation products and software, accompanied with nanosecond switching speeds, enable the emulation of free space in a controlled environment. www.quintechelectronics.com
