3.4.1. Regular Admission To qualify for regular admission to a degree program, an applicant must have a standardized test score at or above the 30th percentile (applies for GRE, MAT, and GMAT) and either an overall GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale on all undergraduate work or a post baccalaureate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Undergraduate GPA will include all the courses required for the bachelor’s degree taken at the institution that conferred the degree. A student’s post baccalaureate GPA will include all courses (graduate and undergraduate) completed after the awarding of the first bachelor’s degree. However, a post baccalaureate GPA will not be reported until after at least 9 credit hours of post baccalaureate credits are completed. For straight through programs (ex. RN-MSN, doctorate with no bachelor’s) the undergraduate GPA will based on 100(0) to 400(0) level courses and the post baccalaureate GPA will be based on 500(0) courses and higher. For the GRE, the verbal and quantitative percentiles are averaged. The general test of the GRE is accepted by all masters and doctoral programs except the College of Business. The GMAT is required for graduate programs in accounting and business administration. Certificate programs require a 2.5 GPA for Regular Admission. For international students, they must score at least 20 on each of the four sections of the TOEFL examination to qualify for regular admission. Individual programs may establish standards that are more stringent.
