Hersman was prematurely taken from his position as owner and veterinarian by Acute Myologenous Leukemia in 1998. His daughter and son refuse to see his life long passion and hard work die. Amy Zander, M.S. Organizational Communication and Andrew Hersman, D.V.M., have fused talents and anticipate a long and healthy relationship with their clients, patients, team, and community. ESVH offers a full range of services to small companion animals; specifically dogs and cats. We are equipped to manage the wellness of our patients through routine office visits, vaccinations, nutrition counseling, senior wellness exams, laboratory diagnostics, radiology, ultrasonography, dentistries, routine surgeries, and emergencies. Due to the longevity of the company, the long-term relationships with our clients and families, and the reputation of our doctors, we serve clients from many locales. Our clients travel from the Greater Springfield area including (but not limited to) Chicopee, Southwick, West Springfield, Westfield, South Hadley, Ludlow, Belchertown, Hampden, Wilbraham, East Longmeadow and Longmeadow. Therefore, yearly physical exams by veterinarians are even more crucial. Disease may be diagnosed and treated earlier, possibly saving your pet's life and definitely improving the quality of your pet's life. Dental Exams and Cleaning Dental Exams and Cleaning Oral Disease is the most common problem seen in animals. The importance of good oral health improves your pet's quality of life: eating, communicating, grooming, and playing. Oral disease may be extremely painful, cause bad breath, and lead to systemic disease and organ failure. All patients are given appropriate medication to manage pain during recovery. Radiology and Ultrasound To help us properly treat our patients we offer advanced diagnostic imaging. Our x-ray machine is now complimented with the addition of our ultrasound machine. This gives us the advantage to diagnose heart disease, liver and kidney disease, and cancer. The bladder, gastrointestinal system, and other organs can be assessed using ultrasonography.
