completed their specialty and or subspecialty training in Psychiatry / Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of
Canada or equivalent) or have completed training in Family Medicine (Canadian College of
Family Physicians). Candidates must be eligible for a practice or educational license from the

This fellowship has been fully funded by the Children’s Health Foundation (CHF) at Children’s

Medicine & Dentistry. The fellowship will be embedded in a newly developed Perinatal Mental
Health and Addictions Program, with the opportunity to train and work in an interprofessional
model of care with community linkages. The model of care is strongly influenced by
Attachment Theory and Practice, with opportunities to participate in clinical research utilizing
attachment based interventions prenatally to 12 months postpartum in the longitudinal
outcome for high risk dyads. The duration of the fellowship is one year.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, with curriculum vitae and the names of
three potential referees, one of whom should be the candidate’s postgraduate program
director, who may be contacted directly.
