6/13/2012 Recognized Student Organizations Application for Funding Allocation The Norfolk Office of Student Engagement in conjunction with the Student Funding Board review requests for student organization funding. Recognized Student Organizations that have submitted and completed new contact information of members, have updated information within the Business Office, and have attended related organization, financial, and planning workshops are eligible to submit a funding allocation request packet at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Approval of allocations will be contingent on the thoroughness of each activity event form which will discuss all aspects of funding for the event. Previous allocations and current balances in club accounts will be considered prior to allocations. The purpose of the events in relation to the advancement of the Norfolk campus will be considered prior to allocations. Recognized Student Organizations must complete the application in its entirety and submit by the designated deadline in order to be considered for funding. Please feel free to include printouts of invoices and additional pages for explanations if more space is needed. Application Process Complete and submit funding application upon the deadline to the Office of Student Engagement in the Norfolk Student Center room 5310. Applications will be reviewed and your allocation letter will be sent electronically to the Advisor and President of the Organization, in addition a hard copy can be requested within 3 weeks after the application deadline. Funding Restrictions Funds must be used for the purpose for which they were allocated as indicated.
