Period 1 Block C3 Prep and Conference Period 2 Block D4 AP English Language and Composition 1. Students should have their rough drafts on Pieter Hugo’s exhibit, Kin. 2. Students should exchange their essays with a partner. They should read, edit, score, and justify the score. They should orally discuss their comments with their partners. The final draft of their essays is due on November 11th. 3. After peer editing, students should read the Bedford (located by heater near windows) pages 127-135 on Description. They should complete worksheet. Collect when finished. 4. Ask students to put Bedford books back on the shelf. 5. Announce Homework: A. Final draft of responses to Kin is due Monday, November 11th. B. Choose a Marking Period 2 literary term C. Choose a Marking Period 2 Nonfiction book for outside reading. At least 2 other students and no more than 4 other students should read the same book. Period 3 Block A1 English IV 1. Students should view “The Lion King.” (DVD on top of laptop on projector cart). 2. Stop the video 5-10 minutes before the end of the period. Distribute lined paper. Students should list the similarities/parallels of “The Lion King” and Hamlet. Collect when finished. 3. Announce Homework: Hamlet essay or project due 11/11.
