Biography
Bass-Baritone, Daniel Terrazas has shown his fine versatility
singing repertoire which spans the musical repertoire from Handel and
Mozart to Stravinsky and Bernstein. Recently, his dramatic voice was
heard to great advantage in two University of Texas Premiers: Gordon
Getty’s Plump Jack (Pistol), and Virgil Thompson’s Mother of Us All
(Daniel Webster).
Again his versatility was proven to critical acclaim in two such
diverse roles as Figaro in Mozart’s La Nozze di Figaro and Dr. Falke in
Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, both produced by the University of Texas Opera
Theater.
Mr. Terrazas has sung with the Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Opera,
University of North Texas State Opera and Orchestra, University of
Texas at Austin Opera and Orchestra, El Paso Pro Musica, the Texas
Chamber Consort, Austin Singers, The Zarzuela Company of El Paso, the
Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia, and Vox Amadeus in a wide variety
of roles such as: Figaro, Don Giovani, Leporello, Marchello, Pistol,
Daniel Webster, David in Hand of Bridge, Scrapia in Tosca, and
Amonasaro in Aida.
He has appeared extensively with orchestra and in concert and oratorio.

University of North Texas State Opera and Orchestra, University of
Texas at Austin Opera and Orchestra, El Paso Pro Musica, the Texas
Chamber Consort, Austin Singers, The Zarzuela Company of El Paso, the
Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia, and Vox Amadeus in a wide variety
of roles such as: Figaro, Don Giovani, Leporello, Marchello, Pistol,
Daniel Webster, David in Hand of Bridge, Scrapia in Tosca, and
Amonasaro in Aida.
He has appeared extensively with orchestra and in concert and oratorio.
