T he Inter natio nal Co nfer ence o f Gas Geo che mistr y (ICGG) is an i nternati o nal fo ru m
wh ere the latest r esear ch and techno lo gical ad van ces related to gas geo che mistr y are
p resented and d iscussed . T his is the 1 3 t h meetin g o f the ICGG series whic h started in
1 9 82 to unite exp er ts in gas geo che mistr y, wo rki ng o n vario u s geo lo gical and
enviro n mental is sue s. The o bj ective o f the ICGG -1 3 , whic h is to b e held in Chen gd u,
Sichua n P r o vince, China , is to pr o mo te internati o nal and interd iscip linary e xcha nge o f
info r matio n, to fo ster co -o p er atio n amo n g researchers in acad e mia, research instit utes,
p rivate co mp anies, and i nd ustr y, and to sti mulate gro wth a nd ad vances in the field o f
gas geo che mistr y.
