Possible Answer: It was not an area where domestic animals were found suitable to domesticate. Africa did not have animals that could be domesticated. Also, the temperament of the animals was genetically different. A prime example I learned from the Netflix documentary was the Zebra. It potentially would be an ideal domestic animal, however it has never been domesticated.

The people who domesticated the creatures would grow accustomed to the animals and therefore become more immune to the disease that the animals had or could pass on to human beings. Also, those that domesticated the animals would have a better understanding and knowledge of the animal over those who are foreign to the creature. When the people who domesticated the animals conquered other nations, they would infect the people that were not accustomed to the infectious disease.

Possible answer: The characteristics that affected the germination and growth of flowering plants were the climate and environment in which the crops grew. The wind, temperature, precipitation, soil, and sunlight all comply with how well a plant will grow. If there is not enough sunlight, most plants will not be able to live for a long time. If there is a harsh climate and temperature, plants will be unable to reproduce and die off quickly. Fortunately, some plants are able to adapt to their surrounding environment because of adaptations that develop, such as the Saguaro cacti in Arizona. Yet, environmental factors play a huge role in the existence of plants. Crops grow better along an east/west axis because the areas surrounding each other have similar climates. With temperate zones running east/west, crops are able to survive and reproduce.

Possible Answer: These climates are hostile to human existence and travel. When looking at the maps provided, the climate heading north from Tehran is humid and has cool temperatures. When going south from Tehran, the climate becomes dry and the temperature becomes warmer. It has an arid climate. It would not be conducive to travel from Tehran to a region 1500 miles away because the climate and temperature would not agree with Tehran's climate. Unless you pack an array of clothes and different items, traveling 1500 miles outside of Tehran would be unpleasant.
