H.R. 1631- Enhancing the Stature and Visibility of Medical Rehabilitation Research at NIH Act H.R. 290-Creating Access to Rehabilitation for Every Senior (CARES) Act of 2015 Summary: Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act (SSA) with respect to coverage of extended care services without regard to the three-day prior hospitalization requirement (non-post-hospital extended care services. H.R. 1342-Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act of 2015 Summary: Revises conditions of and limitations on payment for home health care services to allow payment for home health services to Medicare beneficiaries by: (1) a nurse practitioner, (2) a clinical nurse specialist working in collaboration with a physician in accordance with state law, (3) a certified nurse-midwife, or (4) a physician assistant under a physician's supervision. H.R. 1516-Ensuring Access to Quality Complex Rehabilitation Technology Act of 2015 Summary: Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to cover, as medical and other health services, complex rehabilitation technology items designed and configured for a specific qualified individual to meet that individual's unique: (1) medical, physical, and functional needs related to a medical condition; and (2) capacities for basic activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs. H.R. 775-Medicare Access to Rehabilitation Services Act of 2015 Summary: Repeals the caps on Medicare outpatient rehabilitation physical therapy services and speech-language pathology services. H.R. 952-Put a Registered Nurse in the Nursing Home Act of 2015 Summary: Amends titles XVIII (Medicare) and XIX (Medicaid) of the Social Security Act with respect to coverage of nursing care services in skilled nursing facilities and nursing facilities, respectively, to revise the standards for 24-hour licensed nursing service care which a professional registered nurse is required to provide at least 8 consecutive hours a day, 7 days a week. H.R. 1571-Improving Access to Medicare Coverage Act of 2015 Summary: Amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to count a period of receipt of outpatient observation services in a hospital toward satisfying the 3-day inpatient hospital requirement for coverage of skilled nursing facility services under Medicare.
