The Death of a Pumpkin…..
Sadly, your family pumpkin from Halloween, did not last. It
didn’t make it. Now you need to tell me what happened.





What kind of a pumpkin was it?
Where did it live?
What was it good at and
what kind of things did it like to do?
Who was it’s family?
Where will it’s final memorial service be held?
Using the Sentences Ogranizer,
write an obituary for your pumpkin.

First Sentence/s – Name and age of deceased
pumpkin, place of residence, cause of death,
and where the pumpkin died.
Palmerville resident, Tillie Toaster, 8, died
Second Sentence/s – Where the pumpkin was
born, educated, whom the pumpkin married
(if it married), and how many children they
had.
Tillie was born June 10, 1997, in Taos, New
Mexico, at the GE appliance factory. She was
shipped to Palmerville by Fed-ex and lived on the
kitchen counter with the Johnson family for a
wonderful eight years. She married Milt
Microwave and they had two children.
Third Sentence/s – Where they worked or
what they did throughout their lives.
She toasted all the bread products for the
Johnson family including toast, Pop-tarts, and
English muffins. She always tried to catch all of
the toast crumbs and was careful not to lose her
temper and start a fire.
Fourth Sentence/s – Organizations and clubs
the pumpkin was in & hobbies they enjoyed.
peacefully in her family’s kitchen after suffering a
power surge from an evening windstorm.
Tillie belonged to the Toastmistress Club of
America, the Secret Society of Pop-tart Lovers,
and the Hot Muffin club. She loved to heat snacks
for the children when they came home from
school. She was especially proud of her shiny
chrome finish and liked to have people look at
themselves in her shiny sides while they made
toast.

She was a friendly appliance, much loved by
her family and friends at the Johnson home.
Everyone went to her for advice because she was
so knowledgeable about living a good life.

daughter Lucinda Blender, and son Clyde Electric
Mixer.

Services will be held in Home Depot service
warehouse in Palmerville at 11231 Main St. on
October 31st, at midnight because the store will be
closed at that time.
Cards can be sent to the Home Depot Customer
Service Center, and in lieu of flowers, please send
donations to your favorite local appliance repair
shop.
