Using your vocabulary words, complete the activities below. One activity a night needs to
be completed and turned in by Friday. Please place all activities in your vocabulary
notebook. Friday morning is your test.

four of your vocabulary

Create flash cards for one of your
vocabulary words. Include each
meaning of the word.

adjective - happening in or belonging to the present time.
This must be his old phone number; do you know his current
one? (3) noun - the flowing movement of a body or mass of
fluid or gas. The ocean currents affect the speed of the ship.
product (1) noun - outcome; result. Your success was the
product of your hardwork. (2) noun - in mathematics, the
result of multiplying two or more numbers.
hide (1) verb - to put out of sight (2) noun - the skin of an
animal whether raw or dressed —used especially of large
heavy skins (3) noun - any of various old English units of
land area; especially : a unit of 120 acres
Word knowledge: “vore” is a word part that means “one
who eats.”
Examples: (1) carnivore – an animal or plant that eats meat.
(2) herbivore – an animal that eats vegetable matter. (3)
omnivore – an animal that eats meat and vegetable matter.
Just for fun: A serpentivore is an animal that eats snakes
and lizards and an apivore eats bees.
