Registration and Opening Ceremonies will be held at the Fiske Cinema, 302 E. Main St. in Oak Grove. Busses will transport the students to the contest sites. Lunch is included in the registration fee for 4 students and one advisor. If more lunches are needed, you can add them for $5 per meal on the registration form. Each Chapter will be assessed a $25.00 registration fee ($25.00 for a Blue Chapter and $25.00 for a Gold Chapter). The event will be hosted and sponsored by Mr. Larry Boyte, the West Carroll Parish School system, and USDA/NRCS. Mr. Michael Lindsey, State Soil Scientist with USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service will be our State Soils CDE Coordinator. Registration will begin at 8 AM with opening ceremonies beginning at 8:45 AM. Buses will depart for event site at 9 AM. Hotel Information: Oak Grove Inn and Suites, or nearby hotels in Bastrop or Delhi. Monroe is about an hour away. Pre-Registration will be online, at www.la-ffa.org/cde/soils. Membership numbers will be checked. Please submit the online form only once. You may pay by check or credit card via PayPal. A confirmation will be sent to your email, please print out your confirmation and mail it to the address above, ATTN: Soils CDE, along with your check made payable to the Louisiana FFA Association.
