Philip Lokken: Director, Town of Slave Lake Philip has been active in community for over 30 years. He is a current Town Councilor. Member or former member of Slave Lake Musical Theatre, Lions Club, Rotary Club, United Way, Friendship Centre, St. Peter's Ecumenical Church, Servus Credit Union. Philip is also an instructor for Parenting After Separation Course. He is a member of Law Society of Alberta and Canadian Bar Association, former Greyhound Bus Driver and Schoolteacher, current Barrister and Solicitor, Notary Public and Mediator. Philip has been a sitting on the Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region’s Board since October 2013. Georges Jadot: Georges has been a resident of Red Earth Creek since 1993. He is the owner/ operator of The Red Earth Store, Lakeland Store, and La Liquor Shack. Georges is also an agent for Fas Gas and Post Master. Georges has been sitting on the Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region Board since 2007 to present. Leo Alook: Leo Alook has been an active member in the Trout Lake Community for a number of years. From 19801884 he has been the leader for the Trout Lake Community Association. From 1984 to present Leo has been a Councilor for the MD of Opportunity, making him the longest serving Municipal Councilor in Northern Alberta. From 1985-1990, Leo has been involved with Family & Community Services. Also, he has sat on the Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region’s Board for a number of years, from 1990 to present. Brad Hestbak: Senior Director External Relations, Northern Lakes College, employed by Northern Lakes College since 2007. Brad has worked in post-secondary education for more than 35 years. He is currently, responsible for marketing, fundraising, and community relations for the college across a service region spanning more than 250,000 sq. km. Brad has been active in Rotary, Lesser Slave Lake Economic Alliance, The Council for the Advancement and support of Education, and the Edmonton Fringe Festival Board. Brad resides on a small farm near Smith, AB. He has been sitting on the Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region’s Board since February 2014. Randy Ehman: Vice Chairperson Randy moved to High Prairie in 1996 from the Red Deer area. He then started his business The Dugout Dude with the help of Community Futures 10 years ago. The Dugout Dude Enterprises does maintenance in the summer months, custom built aeration systems and solar aeration systems. In the winter he rents out an ice shake on Snipe Lake. Randy has been married to his wife Wendy for 30 years, with whom he has 4 children with. He was with the Municipal Council of Big Lakes for 12 years. Randy has been sitting on the Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region’s Board since 2011. Dave Gaskell: Secretary /Treasurer, CF Lesser Slave Lake Currently Dave has been in the real estate industry for the past 16 years. Previous experience includes, oil and gas, finance, insurance, and construction. Dave did serve as a board member with the slave Lake air ground ambulance society. Dave Vanderwell: Chairperson Dave resides in High Prairie. He is an Agrologist and has been working for Environment and Sustainable Resources since 1989 in this area. I have been a member of the Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region since 2007. I have been the chair since 2010. I am a past member of High Prairie Town council and the High Prairie Fire Department. I live on my farm South of High Prairie with my wife and daughter. Murray Kerik Murray is a Purebred Angus cattle breeder. He is the former chair of Alberta Beef's Technical Committee and former member of the national beef cattle research counsel. Three term counsellor for Municipal District 124 Lesser Slave River and presently Reeve of Lesser Slave River Wilf Willier Wilf has an extended career related to law and aboriginal relations. He is a previous councilor for the Town of High Prarie and is a passionate about the Community Futures Program. Ray Dupres Ray Dupres represents the Municipal District of Big Lakes as currently a two term counciler and has a keen mind for Board Governance.
