Biography Poster
In Social Studies, we are excited to be learning about historical figures and timelines. For
this unit students are researching a historical figure and learning how to create a timeline
to highlight significant events in their historical figure’s life.
Students will have done most of their research at school, but they can use the facts they
learned for an at home project. Students are to create an attractive poster that
represents their individual. Posters should include the following:

Posters should be cut your poster into a shape related to your person. An example of
this would be George Washington’s poster cut into the shape of a horse. Betsy Ross’
cut to the shape of a flag and so on.

Full name and living dates of historical figure.

Photographs or hand drawn illustrations of the historical figure

A timeline highlighting 4-7 important events in the person’s life.

Timeline must include month and year dates.
Please let me know if you need any materials sent home to complete this project
