PD is excited to offer multiple “Competitive” options for the 2015-2016 season.
With growing interest in our competitive programs, we want to give an option for those who would like
to take that next step in their training… Not forgetting those that still want to compete and train at the
high level of standard PDC is known for.
Option 1: PERFORMANCE TEAM (formerly called: Competition Program)
This is our first level of competition dancing. We recommend that if your child is enjoying their
recreational class and wants a bit “More”, this is the program for you.
Number of Competitions: 2
Minimum number of classes per week: 2: (Hip Hop, Acro, Musical Theatre, Tap ) 3: (Jazz, Lyrical)
The average group competition fee is $25-30 per competition
Costume average price: $100-$120
Ballet tech 1 class per week is mandatory for: Jazz & Lyrical
Jazz Tech or additional Recreational class is mandatory for: Hip Hop, Musical Theatre or Tap
Acro Tech is mandatory for: Acro *Jazz tech is recommended but not mandatory
Option 2: PDC COMPANY
This program is for those dancers that are serious about training and commitment. The PDC is well
known throughout the dance community for its high level of technique and passion.
 Dancers must audition for this program
Number of Competitions: 4 all local (Example: Chilliwack, Surrey, Maple Ridge, etc.)
Minimum number of classes per week:
Varies on Company Designation:
Pre-Primary – Grade Four: RAD Ballet classes , 2 exam classes
Grade Five: 2 exam classes + 1 open ballet + Pre Pointe class
Intermediate Foundation & Intermediate, Grade Six, Seven & Eight: 2 exam classes + 1 open ballet +
Pointe class
Advanced 1: 3 hours of RAD exam class + 2 hour open ballet + Pointe class
Plus:
Jazz tech + Stretch class for: Company Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre
Tap: Tech tech is mandatory
Acro: Acro tech & Jazz Technique
Average costume fee per dance: $120-$150
Additional Fees:
*Summer Choreography fee for groups $100-200 depending on group
**JUMP convention is mandatory this season from Age 7-19 years old
Approx $220 (2 days) for Mini, Junior, Teen & Senior , $100 (1 day) for 5-6 year olds

Option 3: PDC ELITE PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
This program is for the very serious dancer. This is for the dancer that hopes to make dance a career…
Travel, extra rehearsals, extra workshops, etc. The dancers in this program will not compete as much
locally as a group as they will in the USA at conventions.
 Dancers must audition for this program
MINI PRE PROFESSIONAL: Ages 10-11 years
JUNIOR PRE PROFESSIONAL: Ages 12-13 years
TEEN PRE PROFESSIONAL: Ages 14-15 years
SENIOR PRE PROFESSIONAL: Ages 16+ years
Number of Competitions: Local 1-2 *Solos , duos & Trios can do as many/little as they like locally.
Travelling: 5
# of groups: Jazz, Lyrical possibly Contemporary, Tap will be a combined group.
Mandatory Traveling Conventions:
JUMP VANCOUVER: OCTOBER *No group competition, Just solos
NUVO SEATTLE: FEBRUARY
JUMP PORTLAND: MARCH
VELOCITY SEATTLE: MAY
DANCE AWARDS NEW YORK: JULY
Additional highly recommended by not mandatory:
JUMP LAS VEGAS: DECEMBER
TRIPLE THREAT: NOVEMBER
VIP VANCOUVER: SEPTEMBER
Average Costume fee per dance: $130-$160
*Outside Group Choreography may apply for certain groups between: $100-300 per person
Option 4: PDC HALF DAY PROGRAM
This program is in addition to the Company or Elite Pre Professional Program.

*We are currently offering Half Day 12 year and up. If there is enough interest we will look at
adding a 10-12 year and 13+ option.
