 Facilitate psychoeducational groups for prevention of postpartum depression and
adult/childhood obesity.
 Support the FSU College of Medicine mission by assisting train medical students
in an integrated model of behavioral sciences in a rural and underserved primary
care setting.
 Assist and develop research projects aimed at examining behavioral health issues.

 Outpatient Clinical Services- Provided individual, couples, children, family,
brief-focused, long-term psychotherapy, and psychological assessments to
patients referred by the psychiatric clinic, family medicine, internal medicine,
OB/GYN, cancer center, and other community entities.
 Inpatient Clinic Services- Provided brief supportive-focused psychotherapy,
cognitive assessments, and daily groups to acute ill psychiatric patients (adult and
children units). Supported psychiatric team in the care of patients during rounds.
 Health Psychology Services- Worked with the bariatric surgery, liver transplant,
and the bone and marrow transplant programs, evaluating and producing
integrated reports about psychological factors that may interfere with the
procedure/care/recovery of the patient.
 Substance abuse/methadone clinic- Facilitated relapse prevention interventions to
patients.
 Consult and liaison team services- As part of this team I provided behavioral
health services to different medical center units, and consulted with psychiatrists
and other physicians when needed.
 Supervision Experiences- Assisted with the supervision and education of medical
and psychology practicum students.

(SARRTP)
Substance Abuse Inpatient Unit- 21 Days Program
 Worked with patients who had a substance abuse diagnosis providing counseling,
case management and substance abuse evaluations.
 Facilitated weekly psychotherapy process groups, and weekly classes on relapse
prevention, anxiety, stress, and anger management.
 Participated in daily rounds and reported to the team about the progress/concerns
of assigned patients.
 Followed up with patients who graduated from the program and assisted them in
the maintenance of sobriety and successful recovery.
