Cymaz Music Music Programme Assistant Cymaz Music is seeking a Music Programme Assistant to support and assist with upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will be an individual with previous experience of delivering music education to vulnerable young people in different settings and with multiple instrumental skills and some experience of project coordination. We are seeking an individual to begin work as soon as possible. The individual must have access transport and be willing to travel. They must also have public liability insurance and an up to date DBS. About the Role Title: Music Programme Assistant Responsible to: Music Programme Manager Working Base: Cornwall College, St Austell Contracted hours: 200 hours over the 3 month period Hours of Work: to vary according to delivery, some weekend and evenings. Fee: £3,000 (inclusive of travel expenses) Contract length: 3 months with possibility of extension Cymaz Music delivers musical inclusion activity across Cornwall and has a requirement to carry out a range of strands of work, intended to increase and improve music making opportunities for children and young people in challenging circumstances and to strengthen the sector by improving and increasing opportunities for workforce development. Cymaz Music is currently seeking a Music Programme Assistant to assist the Music Programme Manager with the delivery and coordination of the following: Music sessions, events and performances with Children in Care and training for foster carers; Music sessions, including accredited training, in Special Schools; secondary and primary Additional Provision Academies; and work with Statemented Children in secondary and primary schools. Musical play days for children, young people and their guardians/carers. Supporting the delivery and planning of other music related projects which will be led by the Music Programme Manager. Planning for, monitoring and evaluation of delivery. Experience of supporting delivery of Music Sessions with young people. Experience of evaluation or report Experience of delivering training to adults/ and or families. Experience of working with the target groups identified above writing Knowledge Experience of project coordination An understanding of the requirements of good safeguarding practice and an ability to demonstrative inclusive practice An understanding of delivering work in appropriate environment Understanding of some of the issues and challenges faced by young people Other The ability to transport yourself and kit to various venues across Cornwall The willingness to work some evenings and weekends An understanding of accredited learning in music education Recent completion of Safeguarding training. Knowledge of The National Foundation for Youth Music Do Review and Improve Quality Framework Self Awareness and understanding of being a Reflective Practitioner .
