DECEMBER MEDICAL STAFF NEWSLETTER
Medical Staff Department & Quality Review Committee Meetings
It is required that all members of the Medical Staff are assigned to a Department. As a member of your assigned Department
you are allowed to attend your Department meeting or your Quality Review Committee meeting. Below are the four
Departments and the specialties under each department.
Department Meetings Information: Department meetings are slated to meet 5 times a year. The Agenda consists of quality
metrics, policy and procedure review, order set review, Department Rules & Regulation review, privilege criteria review and
other items as identified by the Chair.
Quality Review Committee (QRC) Information: QRC meetings are slated to meet 5 times a year. The Agenda consists of
primarily case review for Peer Review. Following review by the members present cases are rated either standard of care met or
not met, often times also resulting in opportunities for improvement in both categories.

As a member of your assigned Department you are allowed and encouraged to attend your Department meeting and Quality Review
Committee Meeting. Attendance at any of these meetings will be counting toward your Points Requirement.

patients. Despite the many patients she sees daily, she always make sure we are well taken care of and direct us to proper
care. Dr. Patel also makes sure that we are monitored so she can provide treatment asap. She is just a wonderful person
and doctor who really cares about her patients.
