This document provides details on Internet and related
data services at this location.
Services are available anywhere on the properties.
To order services, or to discuss further, please contact
Bush House reception.
Internet Service Plan Choice
For Internet service, please choose one of the Shared or
Guaranteed (lease-line) bandwidth plans. Contact us if
you have special requirements.
There are also options available which complement
plans.
Finally there are a range of specialist services to improve
the working environment in your office.
Services can be set up very quickly where additional
cabling is not required. Changes in service can be
performed on request.

Features of all Internet Services
All our Internet services have a number of common
features.

Secure segregated network for your use only.

Ready to use – just plug in devices and start work.

Symmetrical bandwidths – equal download and upload data
rates (unlike broadband).

Router or firewall use is at your discretion but not essential.

Patched to the workstation or via managed voice handsets
(Serviced Offices only, otherwise an option)

Usage Data and traffic graphs (MRTG).

Access to helpdesk during working day.

Optional Public IPs for routing, forwarding or tagging.

Optional control panel for subscriber access.
Technical Speaking…
Technically speaking our service includes:
Public and private IP operation, VLAN segregation on all
local paths for security, managed bandwidth, firewalled
local/NAT with local class C IP range and alias, DHCP
optional.
We provide traffic graphs, and diagnostics, and have a
support desk during business hours.
Types of Services
We offer a choice of planes, such as lease-line
bandwidth, shared (contended) plans, and some special
plans for voice and resilience. Please see below.

accommodate these.

Shared-Style Internet Service
Shared plans provide lightly-contended, quality Internet
for companies whose use is not mission-critical. A
generous volume allocation is sufficient for most
companies.
Unlike broadband ADSL, these shared services have
symmetrical bandwidth. Great for hosted and cloud
applications, Dropbox and backups.
The Entry plan is suitable for light use such as web and
email, while the Premium plan is companies with
significant Internet usage.

Guaranteed Bandwidth Service
Guaranteed bandwidth is just like a lease line only better.
‘Better’ because you can change the bandwidth in
minutes, optionally commit only for a 1 Month term, and
our setup charge is really low.
There is also a control panel to see how your bandwidth is
being used.

plus Burst*
A Burst service allows you to exceed the guaranteed
bandwidth by a fixed amount. The additional burst
bandwidth is not guaranteed, but available on a shared
or best-effort basis.
Unlimited use of bandwidth – there are no quota limits on
guaranteed plans.

Burst Bandwidth
Charged at 5% of monthly fee for every 10% of burst bandwidth.
EG: 5 Mbps burst on 10 Mbps is a 50% burst, so add 25% to monthly
fee.

Special Services
Because our services are flexible, with rapid setup and
short contract terms, they are often used for specialist
purposes in addition to regular Internet plans.
Some businesses that use their own Voice (VoIP) find it
hard to ensure call quality. The simple solution is a
separate provision of guaranteed bandwidth for voice
use only.
Voice Bandwidth is charged as a normal Guaranteed
Bandwidth service. Allow 0.1 Mbps per simultaneous call
required.

If you have your own Internet circuit, you will be glad to
know that we can easily provide you with a failover
connection, ready in place for when you need it. There is
just a small fee for the connection, plus a charge
whenever it is used.
Failover Service is a flat charge £85/month with a volume
allocation of 10GB per month for testing purposes. If
volume is exceeded in month then circuit charge of 200%
of equivalent guaranteed bandwidth is made. Company
can disable its use if they wish via the customer portal.

Service Options
Public IPs
A charge of £15/month for single routed or forwarded IPs
is made. Routed subnets are by special arrangement.
If more than 4 Public IPs is required, then Internet rules
require that a record of the purpose of each IP is
maintained.
Infrastructure Options
Service to the Desktop
We can provide serviced office style networks anywhere
on the park. This provides connections to the desktop,
including converged voice and data on the same cable.
WiFi service
We can provide dual-band WiFi in your office, managed
by ourselves. WiFi traffic can be placed on your network
so that it behaves the same as your wired network
connections.
Roaming use
If you use the Meeting Rooms or other areas served by
WiFi we can provide you with roaming accounts that can
be tied delivered back to your network instead of public
IP.
Guest Accounts
Sometimes you have meetings, contractors, or
consultants who need Internet access but you wish to
keep them off your networks. This is particularly useful if
you are required to meet some form of compliance
standards.
We can provide you with a separate Guest connection
which can be used both wired and wirelessly. Access is
tied to devices and uses a login for a duration set by you.
