Position Description
King & Spalding's Atlanta office seeks a highly qualified first-year law student to join our 2015
summer associate program as our 2015 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 1L
Scholar. LCLD is a national organization of corporate chief legal officers and law firm
managing partners dedicated to creating a diverse legal profession.
The 2015 LCLD Scholar will participate in King & Spalding’s 2015 summer associate program
in the Atlanta office. The 2015 Atlanta summer associate program begins May 18, 2015, and
concludes July 10, 2015.

Qualifications
Candidates must be current first-year students, have excellent academic credentials (first
semester grades must be in the top 20% of the 1L class), and demonstrate a record of community
service and leadership accomplishments. Candidates should have ties to the Atlanta area and/or
an interest in practicing law in Atlanta. Candidates must have an ethnically or culturally diverse
background or be a member of the LGBT community.
