The gap between Pupil premium students narrowed in 2012, as many more non-PP students
achieved the threshold measure. However the gap between Hemsworth and National increased due
to the dip in English scores. In 2013 non-PP pupils made more progress. This was not mirrored with
the PP students however. Predictions for 2014 show this trend to continue which must remain a
focus for interventions.
English and Maths A*/C and 3LOP with PP students is a priority, alongside linking up students with
PP, who have the threshold in one subject and not the other currently. The focus on PP students
other subjects to secure at least 5 good GCSE’s continues to be a focus to improve this measure.
