Friends Christian School for
the 2015-2016 school year!
We are so excited and blessed
to have you child in our
school. This is going to be a
great year!
We do not waste any time educating your child. From
the first day, our teachers will create and exciting atmosphere
that will encourage your child to trust them, get comfortable
with other students, and most importantly - establish a
routine! We ask for patience for the first few weeks of school.
We have been blessed to experience a great growth within the
school, and we are adjusting as needed. By the end of the first
month, all children will have settled into their routines and
you will really start to see growth!

• August 11/12: First day of
school - 8:30 a.m.
• August 17-21 – Speech
therapy screening
• August 20/21: First parent
meeting - 8:40 a.m.
• August 20/21: Substitute

Do you need a little extra child care between the end of school and the end of your workday?
AROF is starting a new after school care program in which we can drop-off and pick-up
students in the D3 and D8 school districts. Talk to Ms. Renee for more information.

CRUSADER’S SPORTS REPORT:
Football and Cheerleading practices
have begun!
Our kids and coaches are working hard to
create an amazing season. The game schedule
will be posted soon!
Invite your friends and family to watch our
Christian Crusaders show their skills out on
the field!
A Rainbow of Friends is happy to
announce our new homeschool program
beginning this fall. Friends Homeschool
Academy will be connecting
homeschooled families in the
Fountain/Widefield/Security
community. Our homeschool families
will enjoy Bible time, music, sports, and
stage performances. Information Night
is August 20 @ 6:30 pm.
CRUSADER EVENTS
Fountain Mesa Park Clean Up
Please join us Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Fountain Mesa Park!
Volunteers are needed to help clean up the park!
‣ Have fun • Meet/Join friends of the Fountain Mesa Park • Clean and
beautify the park • Tools will be provided!
Come join your Crusaders Football team and Cheerleaders for
this community service opportunity. We are partnering with the
City of Fountain in hopes to teach our kids what it means to help
our community. We hope to see you there!
‣ Heads up – the ROF Crusaders will be creating a float for the Fountain
Labor Day Parade. If a parent has a trailer bed the teams can use for the
float, please let the school know ASAP!!!

Reading and Math Academy
One program which has made A Rainbow of Friends
stand out is our Reading Academy, an incredible
program in which children as young as four are able to
read at much higher levels than average. This program
has brought struggling elementary students up to the
next level, and excelling students even higher.
With our Math Academy, we intend to bring the same
principles to yet another subject and we are already

DIRECTOR’S COLUMN
Welcome to A Rainbow of Friends Christian
School. The purpose of this monthly newsletter
is to highlight accomplishments of our students
and school and to notify you of future events.
Our school year is well underway with students
already excelling both in and out of the
classroom, actively preparing for further success.
We will highlight some achievements and
successes in this newsletter each month. Thank
you for partnering with us to educate your
children. Whether you are new to our school this
year or have been here for a couple years, we’re
proud to share the important task of developing
your child’s Christian walk in character and
academic potential.
I was so excited to see all of you who attended
Back to School Night! The event was incredible
and excitement was in the air. God is working in
many ways and it is so encouraging to see His
work making such a difference in His children. I
look forward to our partnership, and having
families become a part of our school. We want to
reach as many students as we can. Your
involvement helps tremendously!
We have several programs starting this month
including cheerleading, football, Reading
Academy, Math Academy, Homeschooling, and
Crusader’s Club. All programs are flourishing
and will surround your child in a fun learning
environment. The confidence these children
have while learning is amazing and as we move
forward, please look into all opportunities for
your child!
