Introduction
Ahoy!!! Welcome to my pirate ship young buccaneer (pirate)!
Captain Skip Count speaking, I hope you are ready for a wild
treasure hunt! Come aboard as we hunt for a priceless
treasure buried under the sea but first you must know how to
Skip Count! Captain Skip Count’s my name and Skip Counting
is my game! Arrrr! The fastest way to count me treasure is to
skip count! Before we can set sail of the 7 seas you must learn
to Skip Count by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s! You want to be able to skip
count because the young pirate who counts the treasure
fastest gets to keep over half of it!! That’s a lot of gold Matey!
Let’s get to counting! ARRRRRR!!!

The Task
Now that you are aboard me ship, let me tell you what you are
going to do! You will practice your skip counting in many ways:
1. You need to watch the skip counting song! The other
pirates and me sing this song while counting up our
treasure!
2. You must play the skip counting game so you can be the
fastest pirate!
3. You must practice skip counting other objects before
you count your treasure!
4. You must read and sing the skip counting song with a
partner.
5. You must print and fill out the spreadsheet to show your
learning how to skip count!

The Process
Now that you know what you have to do to keep the buried
treasure let’s begin! Me treasure awaits! ARRRR!
1. First visit this site to watch the skip counting song.
Remember to pay attention and count along!  The
words are on the screen so you can follow along! Sing
your buccaneer hearts out!

2. Now that you have heard me song and sang along, you get
to practice with a game! Click on the link below and
follow the instructions on how to play! Try to skip count
by 2’s and 5’s!

3. Now that you have some practice, you get to practice
using real items before practicing on the hidden treasure.
Click on the website below and print the page out. Fill
out this page and turn in it for treasure credits!

For even more fun you can find objects at home to skip
count with your parents! Show them what you have
learned and how fast you can count!
4. Now you have some real life practice! You must read and
sing another skip counting song that will help you
remember what to do! So grab a partner and click on the
