25 years we have created a strong foundation for the promotion of college and career
readiness by bringing together leaders in education, government, business and the
community to assist youth in reaching their full potential.
Compact Endorsed Projects:






Heartland Community College Job Shadow Program- A career exploration
opportunity where students spend a day with a professional in their chosen field.
Project Oz Learning and Leading- Career training for young adults including
professional summer internships.
InternRocket - A new website matching students’ interests with projects and
internships to develop experience
Students Involved with Technology Conference -A student-led and studentattended day of technology workshops for grades 3-12
Bloomington Area Career Center 8th Grade Career Expo- Local students and
companies interact for a day of career exploration
National Career Readiness Certificate – Students and community members gain a
credential certifying their level of “real world” workplace skills
