Western New York Regional Games Rally 2015 Sponsored by: Genesee Valley Pony Club April 27, 2015 To All Western New York Region Pony Clubs, The Western New York Regional Games Rally 2015 will be held on Saturday, June 13th at Avon Driving Park in Avon New York. This in a one-day rally. We expect lots of excitement and fun. The Avon Driving Park grounds will be open at 7 AM. This will be a qualifying Regional Rally, which will enable the winning Junior, Senior and Advanced Teams, with approval from our Regional Supervisor, the chance to represent Western New York at the National Championships in Kentucky. Please be sure to mark on the entry form if you have qualifying contestants. Complete and return with your entry the necessary forms for Nationals. All forms can be found on the Western New York Regional Website. Please indicate on the entry form the number of horse trailers your Pony Club will be bringing. As always, “trailer pooling” is encouraged. Entries postmarked after that date, or incomplete entries, are not guaranteed a position in the rally. SPECIFICS Stabling arrangements must be made individually. Food for breakfast and lunch will be catered and available on grounds, by Alley Cat Pony Club. Water will be available for horses on site. Manure must be gathered, but may be left on site at a specified location for pickup. AWARDS Awards will be given to all competitors in Horse Management and overall Games Competition. The Junior Games Trophy is a perpetual trophy awarded to the winning Junior Team. The Senior Games Trophy is a perpetual trophy awarded to the winning Senior Team. The winning Senior Team is also given first place medals (the David Hedges Memorial Award). ELIGIBILITY Each junior and senior team shall consist of no less than four and no more than five riders, all of whom must be members in good standing of Pony Club. Advanced teams consist of two members. Walk-Trot teams are limited to four members and they may not compete in any other division. Walk-Trot competitors must be at least a D1 rating. Each Walk-Trot team must also have three C Advisors and/or adult advisors with them at all times during the competition. All eligibility requirements for Junior, Senior and Advanced teams are as specified in the 2015 USPC Games Handbook and clarified in the 2015 Newsletter. Clubs which do not have enough members to complete a team are encouraged to form teams from more than one club prior to sending in the entry. Alternatively; individual entries may be sent (they will be used to make mixed teams or to fill short teams if at all possible); however, no guarantee can be made that individual entries will be placed on a team. Contact Rally Secretary with questions. The name on your current negative Coggins and Rabies tests must match the name on the entry form for your horse/pony. CHAMPIONSHIPS The winning teams at this year’s Regional Games Rally are eligible after approval of the RS, to be in the 2015 USPC National Championships in Lexington, VA. If a member on the winning team is unable to travel to Virginia for Nationals, the replacement player(s) will be chosen by the RS, in consultation with the winning team. Any Pony Club member who wishes to qualify for Championships must submit the required paperwork with his/her rally entry.
