Student Performance Objective #3 By the year 2022, the students of Mt. St. Dominic Academy will demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the virtues of honesty and integrity in all areas of life while a student at Mt. St. Dominic as evidenced by: a. 100% commitment to the honor code developed by faculty, students, and parents. Baseline year: Fall of 2014 Baseline data: 0 % of students have committed to the honor code because it has not yet been formulated. A committee has been established to write the honor code during the 2013-2015 school years. b. A 10% increase (to a maximum of 100%) in the number of students who identify specific behaviors as violations of the honor code on the honor code survey administered in the fall of 2014. Preliminary Baseline year: 2014. We administered a preview survey in the spring of 2014 to grades 9,10, and 11 to gather information from the students about what actions they considered to be dishonest and if they actually had committed dishonest acts. The following information was recorded from this initial survey to determine if this objective merited consideration. Preliminary Baseline data: Determined from survey administered in the spring of 2014. 79 % of students identify copying homework or other assignments as a violation of the honor code. 68 % of students identify giving homework or other assignments to other students to copy as a violation of the honor code. 72% of students identify asking about or sharing answers or hints regarding tests, quizzes, and exams as a violation of the honor code. 79 % of students identify using unauthorized aids, including but not limited to, calculators, the Internet, or other humans, to obtain information as a violation of the honor code. 96% of students identify presenting false information in oral, written, or electronic academic assignments as a violation of the honor code. 89 % of students identify presenting false excuses for failing to living up to a commitment as a violation of the honor code. 95% of students identify plagiarism or failure to document any assistance in an assignment as a violation of the honor code. 94 % of students identify not fully participating in a group project but receiving the same grade as other members who fully participated as a violation of the honor code. 96 % of students identify not being faithful to commitments, including but not limited to, clubs and activities, sports teams, and service requirements, as a violation of the honor code.
