Class Specifications
2-Phase Divisions:
Penalties combined from Dressage test and Jumping round to determine placing.
Class Fees:
Walk/Trot - $25
X-Rail - $25 per class or $45 per division
Elementary, Beginner Novice & Novice - $30 per class or $55 per division
Must use conventional equipment in accordance with USEA rules. Standing
martingale may be used in all Stadium phases.
1. Walk/Trot – to compete in USDF Intro Test A and a course of 4-6 Trot Poles.
2. Cross-rail – to compete in USDF Intro Test A and a course of 6-8 Cross-rails
with no oxers or combinations. Fences 18”.
3. Cross-rail – to compete in USDF Intro Test B and a course of 6-8 Cross-rails with
no oxers or combinations. Fences 18”.
4. Elementary – to compete in USDF Intro Test B and a course of 6-8 fences set at 2’
with no oxers or combinations.
5. Elementary – to compete in USDF Intro Test C and a course of at least 8 fences
set at 2’ with no oxers or combinations.
6. Beginner Novice – to compete in USEF Beginner Novice A Dressage test and a
course of at least 8 fences set at 2’7” with no combinations.
7. Beginner Novice – to compete in USEF Beginner Novice B Dressage test and a
course of at least 8 fences set at 2’7” with no combinations.
8. Novice – to compete in USEF Novice A Dressage test and a course of at least 10
fences set it 2’11”.
9. Novice – to compete in USEF Novice B Dressage test and a course of at least 10
fences set at 2’11”.

Entries
Entries must be received on or before the Closing Date. Entries received after the
Closing Date will be accepted on a space-available basis and will be charged a $25
late fee.
Make checks payable to Volo Farm, Inc. All checks will be deposited on receipt.
Credit cards are not accepted.
Numbers will not be given without payment in full.

Fees For Volo Students Only
These fees will be billed with your entries, and may be paid on the same check.
Coaching for Walk/Trot: $50
Coaching for all other classes: $75
Horse Use Fee: $15 additional
Rings
Ring 1 / Dressage Arena: Indoor competition ring is 20 x 56 meter with sand and
GGT footing. Riders must wait for the previous rider to exit the arena before
entering. There is not sufficient space to ride around the outside of the ring.
Ring 2 / Jumping Arena: Outdoor ring with sand footing.
Schooling Ring: Indoor arena with sand footing.
In the event of rain, Ring 2 will be relocated to the lower indoor arena. Intervals for
schooling will be added to the schedule.

Important Show Information











All competitors must sign the Volo Waiver and return it to the Show Secretary. This
form is available on the Volo website, www.VoloFarm.com.
A 2015 negative Coggins and proof of vaccination for Flu/Rhino within 6
months must be sent with entry.
All riders must wear properly fastened ASTM/SEI approved protective
headgear at all times while mounted. Anyone not complying may be excused
from further participation at the discretion of the Show Manager.
Show Management reserves the right to vary or change show officials or judges, to
decline any entry, to cancel, divide or combine classes, and to excuse any competitor
or trainer for inappropriate behavior.

Show ride times will be posted on the Volo Farm website no later than noon on July
18th.
No refunds after Closing Date.
DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.
Water and snacks will be available for purchase on site.
Parking is limited – please carpool if possible.
Please note that Volo Farm is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not
permitted anywhere on the property.
